For a personal project, I was going through the database to make a note of all the skins that can be dropped by coliseum enemies. Though not hosted with regularity even back when, the last time I can find evidence of community competitions for new items, especially skins, was approaching half a decade ago:
Since these contests, we have had the Obelisks (2021), Fathoms (2024), and eight ancients (starting from Veilspuns) released. Additionally, this also makes for two new coliseum venues (Boneyard, Silk-Strewn wreckage), who will not have any skins in their drop roster. This is also not taking into account any coliseum revamps that may have taken place
Simply, I think it would be good for another one of these competitions to roll around again soon!

Support, but I support more if they're accents instead of skins. I just don't see the point of covering up my whole dragon in a copy-pasted jpg. A few of the coli skins are more on the accent side, which I love. I'd rather people get creative in letting the dragon show through.

I really miss the coloring contests. I enjoyed them even if I didn't submit any entries.

I think familiar coloring contests would be nice. We haven't had one in a good while. Adding scene coloring contests could be good too.
I also think scene design contests would be neat. Where they could choose some of the better designs that they think fit, and then the artist's actually create the scene. Those could even be what goes into the coloring contests.
