I only put currency in the vault if I have a specific need for it and a specific time in which to use it. Right now I've got some gems vaulted for Wildclaw scrolls when they cycle back in - but otherwise, all funding just stays on hand.
I've got some sentimental things vaulted - like the first anniversary cakes, the Dustcarve reward caches, the cycling Marva box items and some unopened ones from more recent years, etc. I also vault things that I'll need for Swipp or brewing sometimes, especially if it's a harder to acquire item or something that Crim frequently asks for.
Edit to add: ALSO holiday currency that can be destroyed, like the cotton candy.

I keep everything item-wise in my vault, nothing in my hoard. It keeps it clean for when I coli grind for other people and I've gotten in the habit of tidying it up every day before bed. I usually keep my vault cash to every million of treasure and every hundred gems in the vault, the rest stays in my hand. It usually helps decrease my treasure spending, but I still overspend my gems quite a bit.

I throw literally everything into my Vault unless I am actively using it to avoid overspending or throwing away / transmuting something I don't intend to. Better safe than sorry!

I keep my currency in the vault, as well as all non fest skins. Also the occasional item or whatever that I find interesting

100kt or 10g, 1 of everything I've ever gotten, a few stacks of food, any high value items.

Everything is in my vault unless its meant to be sold. If i need something for specific dragon, then I'll just that item out.

5 of the each material from the Unfathomable Odyssey
1 of each fest apparel item since I started saving (not very long ago)
All awakened familiars
Extra scenes, vistas, and renaming scrolls
Fest currencies
Every other thing is in my hoard. I like having quick access to what I need.
