So I am going to try and breed for an Astarion fandragon, and I would love some opinions on what his parents should be named? Should the sire be Cazador? Is there any works that mention his parent's names? I know his last name is Ancunin, maybe I just use that as the sire name? Then what is the mother's name? Would love some feedback or ideas.



I am going to try and breed him to look something like this. Secondary gene is undecided, but I definitely want this kind of color scheme and runes tertiary to represent his scars. :)

Got sick and then had my wisdom teeth out, so I've been KOed for a few weeks... @Lulublue I'm in the middle of creating all the spawn siblings – the more minor characters, the merrier! Even if I hold a grudge against this dude for dragging me through the most obnoxious haunted house in gaming history. The [i]stairs...[/i] never forget... he looks amazing, though, that pale flaxen blonde you get from Bee and the artist gear is spot on! For Astarion, there's no canon names for his parents. Plenty of fanworks have given him named parents, but there's no fanon consensus. You might do the parents as Cazador and Szarr, or maybe Szarr and Ancunin to show his different roots? [i]Love[/i] the bloody runes, I'd take that tert in a heartbeat if I could. Looks amazing, looks vampiric, and the symbolism could not physically be more perfect if it tried. @Perahn Wah, thank you! Agree, there's a bunch of things we did the same - scarred-eye wildclaw Wyll (oof, though, the chain familiar as Pact, that's haunting...), guardian Karlach and pearlcatcher Shadowheart (haunted by the moon and Shar's grasping hands! Aaah, love that.) And soft bear tundra Halsin, and the way we did Lae'zel's armor with the garnet flourish and alabaster. But the things we did differently are really cool too – I love the weave colors in Gale's Jester secondary, the magister set for his robes, and the way you did Astarion's early access outfit! I went for mirror Lae'zel, but ridgeback was always my second pick – the female pose is so severe and noble and it suits Lae'zel's bearings perfectly. And LuluBlue is right, the way you got Halsin's bear scars through his primary gene is insane. I never would have known you could do that! And Varash is gorgeous, both in-game and out! I can't get over how good the murkmire plate armor looks with that mantle... and the matching flower garlands over the wing fade, and the vine motif carried over with the filigree and rose thorns. There's like five different sets here harmonizing as one! If I could give her more likes, I would, that's truly one of the prettiest dragons I've ever seen! @Wildgone Mama K [emoji=nocturne star size=1] That mottled shade of carmine is perfect for her scars... and I really like the outfit you went with. The barbarian leathers are great and the onyx seraph jewelry is a really smart way of scattering metal ports across her body. The fire sword's a dual win in that it's a fire sword for a fire girl [i]and[/i] it comes with a bunch of leather straps and buckles. I also really like the obsidian thylacine? It pulls two things for me – her infernal tattoos, and also the kind of red-black fade of her hair! I've been out a while but I do have one new dragon to show off – another for my growing pile of vampire spawn. Really happy with how Violet turned out, though it's going to be hard to use her tert. Maybe firebreather or a sparkle/spines cop-out. Violet looks fab! I think I'd go with Obe for Petras? I like how the ruff looks better on them, and having all the sibs as different breeds is a really neat idea.

Thank you all! It's not healing too great, but I'm doing fine. Just happy not to be sick anymore [emoji=spiral tongue size=1] Oof, an infection in the recovery period sounds terrifying. I'm living in constant fear of dry socket, I haven't even had time to fret about worse! Hope you pulled through all right in the end, @ryttu3k.   @Wildgone Funny, I always end up giving that sword to Lae'zel... there was one time I accidentally blew myself up with it, and in retrospect I think it was because of a grease puddle, but for a while I thought the fire lady wasn't safe around the burning sword so I requisitioned it for the local alien instead [emoji=coatl laughing size=1] Ridgeback Karlach works great too. More than anything, Karlach's gotta be an appropriately Big Lady. Ridgeback 100% fits the muscle bill. But yeah, I feel you on having to choose breeds based on the different ways that genes or even outfits look on them. Sometimes the breed you want and the gene/outfit you want are mutually exclusive. But what you came up with really works so I wouldn't regret it! Her 'hair' is perfect. Frog Lae'zel represent! Polkadot might be a bit busy with Bar and Toxin but it's my go-to for her spot pattern - it even has her under-eye paint if I'm remembering correctly. Though I do like the clean simplicity of Points on the busier primary/secondary patterns!
