Dragon Search Generator
-REBOOT-
-REBOOT-
Exactly what it says on the tin, a spreadsheet tool that creates granular Dragon Search and Auction House searches based on quick and simple input. Gone are the days of endless clicking!
This project is a complete overhaul of Saphira455's Dragon Search Link Generator, expanded with a plethora of new options.
Features
This sheet would even raise your hatchlings for you given the opportunity, but considering limitations, here's what it does do:
- URL-based and manual input
- optional fields for manual input: if you don't need it, you don't have to fill it!
- speaking of typing less, you don't even have to enter the full name of Ancient genes!
- optional and customizable color range intervals
- toggle to allow or disallow genes of equal rarity
- separate toggle to switch filtering on and off for each attribute (color, color ranges and genes of each slot, plus breed)
- filter for Modern breeds, if you don't care about the specifics aside from that
Get started
Copy the sheet for yourself (File > Make a copy) and you're good to go! I strongly recommend reading through the notes in the sheet though, I tried to make everything as intuitive as possible but a single keyword may not always do the job.See the Notes section for details on the structure of the generated search.
Notes
UpdatesThis sheet doesn't need to be redownloaded after breed or gene updates!
Search structure
Breeds and genes are listed with the goal on top, the others following ordered ascending by rarity first and alphabetically second. That is, first the most common ones in alphabetical order, then one category up in rarity in alphabetical order, and so on.
Color ranges are in pairs of [Color above - Goal] and [Goal - Color below]. These pairs are ordered like their corresponding Color range settings. That is, first the pair generated based on setting 1., then the one based on setting 2., and so on.
Results are ordered descending by ID.
Updates
You can always find the announcement post of the last included breed or gene update under the speadsheet link above, and the changes to the tool in the Patch notes. Here's a pinglist if you're interested in future updates!
Contact
...well now, that does sound way too formal, but the point is: Have a question? A suggestion perhaps? Caught a bug? Got anything else to say about this tool? Drop a reply here, ping me (although I'm subbed), send a PM, send a... messenger through CR?, you're more than welcome to reach out to me!
