I keep 300k treasure and 300 gems on hand at any given time and store all the rest.

TOPIC | How much cash do you keep in the bank?
People are putting money in the bank? I can't think of a reason why I ever would, maybe gems if I was more trigger happy on spending them, but it's not like i can lose them if it's just on hand, so might as well keep it on hand

The first and last time I put currency in the vault was for achievements. By nature I'm not someone who spends outside their means or has impulse spending issues, so putting it in there is kind of pointless for me!

This thread inspired me to start keeping 1kg in the vault for those times when I get pinged for a new UMA I don't have the gems for :]

I basically send everything into the vault, but it doesn't stop me from knowing it's there so I often impulse buy. Though usually those impulse buys are "oh wait I can afford this thing for this project instead of saving up for this project" so yeah.

Every time I gain 10kt/10g, I immediately put it in the vault. That keeps me off too many impulse purchases (but not all!)

I try to put 25 or 50kt in the vault every day to build up to the last Rainy Day achievement, so there's about 6mil in there right now. As for gems, I keep about 100 on hand for spending and anything above that gets vaulted at the end of the day. Recently I've had some expensive projects (Damn you G1 Harlequinn Wildclaw!) so I've just been taking out the savings once I reach the point I can afford one of the genes. When I don't need them, though, they just build up until I do. I usually only let myself dip in and splurge if it's something big, like a new breed release. I think the last time was when dusthides came out and I got some G1s that looked good with Spores.
