All the totals were in private mails, that I don't think I physically can find without filters as my mailbox is exploding. Way over 100,000 chests have been opened, we only counted eggs, nothing else. Ratio was ~8.5% which is a decrease compared to 2 years ago, as wasn't it something around 10%? Correct me if I am wrong.
I got hurt very badly (economically) personally because of the stealth nerf, as, I kept trading thinking it's the same drop rating as before, and ended up losing a LOT of money, as it took a while to accumulate a lot of chests and do the numbers.

I completely do not mind them adjusting the ratio at all, just please post some tiny dev post that "hey, we feel eggs were a bit too common in the chests, so we decided to try decreasing from X% to Y%".
Just to clarify - the drop rate nerf didn't happen this year (in case that part was missed). It happened last year.

I am sorry if I did end up sounding like I am starting a fight, that was not my intention. I only ask for staff transparency and communication, I am VERY understanding, and just need data to know how to adjust. I know many people would have gotten upset and probably had caused a ruckus in the forums because of the decrease, but I still think that would have been much better than people discovering it in the bad way themselves.

A fun fact - when you open this many chests, funny things can happen. I believe a record of eggs found in a single 10 chests click was 8 eggs :D Absolute bonkers!

Oh yeah, about the grinding glitch... This one sadly I myself really know nothing about from experience. Just talked to a bunch of peeps who were going HUH??? Unfortunately, it was not possible to replicate it, so this glitch indeed might not exist, and was just a big coincidence. I am sorry if I stepped out of line mentioning this before being 100,000 chest amount of sure... Tho if I were to grind, I would still superstitiously refresh if drops seem odd for a while xD

[/quote] you're reporting over the stated 8%, so your RNG has been very good. as far from what i can find, 10% hasn't been the case in many years (i've been seeing a general consensus of 9% since 2019 until this change in 2022).

I was only joking in my complaint anyway, its never that serious. But yeah, hardly any eggs compared to the many years I've been playing prior to this time.

Sorry if my memory is hazy and I don't remember exact numbers accurately. I really wanna think it was 8.5 but I really must be misremembering then. And yes, decrease at year 2022 (not 2023), sorry if I was not clear.

It's 2.30 AM and I'm HOPELESSLY DIGGING. I wish FR mail was a nice continuous mail conversation thread(with same person), instead of separate mails trashed around with half the conversation missing. I need filters!!
I managed to find 1 number only 0.0756302521, so 7,56%... Seems 8.5% memory turned out to be 7.5% which could explain why I was so terribly disappointed. Why do I remember 8 being there?.. Too bad like 70% of conversation is missing, so it probably was on discord :(
I wish more decent stuff could be dug out of discord as well like snips/actual printscreens, but with insane spam I have no idea how to even begin searching :|
I AM however getting ready to observe a lot of chests being popped this year, so can tell you more recent numbers if you wish. (but if it's known it's ~8% then I probably won't say anything interesting)

Ooooh this is very interesting data! Thank you for linking me that forum (oof I have read a bit more replies, it looks really rough). I had no idea there was a reply from staff about actual drop rate, I wish it was not a sneaky reply on a forum that only few people will see, but an official post for everyone. Hmm :/ Or was it? As legit almost no one I talk to seems to have heard or seen?
So, it looks there have been 2 decreases if I am not mistaken, when skimming through the replies? First to 9% and then to 8%? I only recently started doing serious NOTN (2021), so sadly have no idea about 2019 drop decrease. Was that one announced publicly, if you have any idea/memory?

Awe, that’s sad. It’s sad to see NoTN end. I had so much fun this year. I filled up my hoard like crazy. 87 nocturne eggs, 2 shadow eggs, 1 fire egg, 2 eliminates, and many big bosses, I lost track of how many. Now what will I do with all this time on my hands? Lol

Sure will be odd not grinding the coli for strange chests anymore lmao
But honestly this has been my most productive notn? I spent about 35-40kg on G1s + their projects and I honestly don't even know how

The fact that there is no NOTN grinding OR Public Buy for the next 2 weeks - I also feel a lot of free time. Time to catch up on the to-do lists that were waiting since December, and time to get started on those “someday” projects! [emoji=familiar heart size=1]
