Okami is one of the first games I can remember playing and I've bought/been gifted it on every console I've owned that the game has been on.

If it weren't so early in the morning when I watched the announcement live, I would have screamed myself hoarse. Even in that realm of "you're clearly joking because this will never happen" wishes (like some triumphant return of SSX), an Okami sequel was unthinkable. BUT HERE WE ARE! IT'S HAPPENING! HIDEKI KAMIYA IS GOING TO SAVE VIDEO GAMES FOREVER.

Ohh, it's a good thing I randomly decided to check the forums, I would've completely missed this otherwise. Almost crying in the club over here, genuinely cannot BELIEVE we're getting an Okami sequel (not counting Okamiden, natch, that game was uhh,,,,,,).
Also incredibly funny to me that Hideki Kamiya left Platinum Games and the first thing he did was create Legally Distinct Clover Studio and give us everything we wanted. Game Developer of All Time, thank you for giving us a sequel of Peak.

I'd get as excited as my ultimately unexcitable peabrain would allow me to, but knowing that we'll be most likely waiting many years for it to come out is putting me off. It's still very nice to see us finally getting a non-fanfiction tier sequel after all these years, though.

I'm actually a huge fan of Okamiden (possibly sacrilegious opinion, I actually like it more than the original (which I still love, mind you)), but this is super exciting! I'm so happy we are getting more Okami!

seeing the sequel announcement made me get okamiden, I finished the og game, but just sorta missed the ds title, figured it would hold me off until its release
