I'll be honest, my taste still remains the same
TOPIC | how has your taste in dragons changed?
It hasn't much. I'm still a picky B and only own a few breeds. The only thing that's really chamged is I now own a spiral. As far as what genes I like, I still use about the same ones, the pool expanding when a new gene I like is added. Maybe I'm just too set in my ways haha
Nothing changed in that regard, my impulse control for buying new dragons is still as bad as always :D

at first, I was very much into shiny genes. wasp/bee and star/con were my favorites. with more scrying experience, I'm much more into accented genes and color matching - i.e., not just having the prim + sec + tert be individual colors that I enjoy together, but having the prim's color accents match the tert (or similar).
I've also noticed that my tastes have trended "busier" over time, in both genes and apparel. I guess it comes from getting more used to the dragons and their silhouettes and wanting more ways to spice them up. for instance I used to think fla/fla was too busy, and flat out hated poi/tox and mosaic/breakup. now I adore fla/fla and like the other two situationally if the color accents look good.

When I first joined I was really into dragons with constellation/starmap combo and had quite a few dragons that reflected that (I still have a couple of my old breeding pairs from that time lol)

Similar case here. Star/con and firefly or runes were my go to and I ADORED them. I still like them, don't get me wrong (my pfp dragon stands to confirm this)! I'm just not as into them as I was.
I was also super into grey, white and purple shades and colors when I was younger. That's definitely changed, as I prefer blues and teals now.
Perhaps that's why I like my pfp dragon, Xalvadora so much? He's a combination of what I used to love and what I love now.
EDIT: Oh, and I still like Coatls and Wildclaws the most. That didn't change!

My main two: I loved Smoke and Runes when they came out, but can't stand them now. And I used to love doubles/triples, but I almost exclusively buy XYZ now.
My taste is still pretty much the same haha.
One thing did change though; I'm a lot more picky with element than I used to be xD

Not a lot changed other than the fact that I'm a lot more into doubles and triples now. For some reason I used to consider it a sin to like something so "plain" and "boring", but... man... if the dragon looks good, it looks good, dangit! It's also sometimes really nice to have that color cohesion.
