Not the worst, but I had some trouble with Swevery's initial colors and genes. She was from a friend's themed pair so I made it work-- I think I did have to regene her from smirch to lace. I really like the effect of the red ribbons on her overall look, though I'd never [i]usually[/i] mix silver with warmer brown and red tones.

[center]Oooh, I love this theme~ It was actually difficult to pick out dragons for though, because I wanted to use only dragons I have changed at least one gene on to make work. I have a tab full of gen1 projects in my hibden like that, but none of them are finished, so I didn't want to share them.

While he is wearing a skin, it's only a half skin. I purposely picked out this guy to fit the skin and changed his secondary and tert to better match it. Those colors on their own are definitely an odd combo. A deep blue, an orangey red and a pinkish grey? Yeah, definitely weird, lol.

One day I got this color combo in the scrying workshop on a random dragon and was like, "hmm, these don't look half bad..." and played around with them for a bit. I found Phthalo Bee had a lovely gradient that matched Platinum and then Charcoal had the perfect matching blue accent with Filigree. I was smitten. Only one problem (well, a couple actually, but we'll get to that)... There were no active dragons on the site with those colors. So I set it on the back burner for many years. Then, one day I was showing a friend some of my old dream dragons and he was like "wow, you should really make that one!". So I got a breeding pair together and began a long and lengthy journey of breeding until I finally got the right colors. Then the next problem arose... She needed triple gem genes! I am terrible when it comes to saving up funds because I play so casually and have very poor impulse control, lol. Well, I dug my nails in and started saving. With what I had already and about a year of selling random things, I finally had enough to complete the project. I am very proud, but also really broke, lol.

Honestly the worst colors I have ever seen on a g1, and his eyes don't help. He was a self hatch that I was fully intended to sell or use as fodder but decided to scry just for fun, and I cannot tell you how proud I am that I was able to actually save him. This beast is gonna be one of my most prized g1s for that fact alone once he's actually gened. He's the 'sibling' of the most actually valuable g1 I've ever hatched, but to me he's valuable in his own way

Ashes is a Black, Sunshine, Cobalt dragon, not that you'd be able to tell! Octopus has unique color accents, and soap really helps to blend any small differences away.
