familiar bonding... occasional fairground maxing streak and sporadic ah listings are my go-tos :3 helps if you try to stick to a certain increment to put away in your vault as welll (every time i get 250kt or 250g i put it away)

basically all of my money is from other pet sims (support KS to games you may like, or get very involved early on in other petsims), exalting, and hoarding. i never really worry about affording things anymore bc of those three things.

leveling dragons to level 7 gets 3-6kt per dragon, depending on if you buy them as hatchlings, plus all the stuff you get while grinding. doing this during festivals, getting a ton of fest currency, buying the apparel, and then sitting on it for years helps a lot.

other things, like buying fams / vistas / apparel when it cycles into the gem shop and selling it a few weeks before it recycles also helps (and is good practice if you hiatus for months anyway, as it makes your gems "grow" while you're on a break).

getting a head start during notn and hoarding the eggs you get also helps bc the eggs sell so well around fr's anni and like, two weeks before notn.

ig for me it's all built on patience! and the fact that i hiatus often, haha.

I'm pretty sporadic with all of it and really don't save all that well, BUT here's my methods.

- Well fed bonus everyday. Even if I do nothing else on the site that day I always get on at least once to feed my dragons and make sure their energy stays within the range to receive the bonus. That's one gem and a bit of treasure everyday (iirc).

- I sometimes train fodder when I have the time. I exalt them once they hit level six or seven, but sometimes if I really have absolutely nothing going on and feel up to it I'll train a couple to level ten before exalting.

- Any drops I get from coli during this such as familiars I don't want, apparel, stones, etc. Will get listed on the AH usually not long after for whatever the current lowest price is or something below that because I want that stuff gone and I want it gone QUICK. I like to keep my hoard tidy. The earnings I get are just a bonus.

- In that same regard, I go through the familiars and apparel tabs of my hoard pretty regularly to tidy up which means selling anything I don't want.

- Any and all food I get from coli immediately gets converted to food points. This helps me keep plenty of food in my stores and makes keeping my dragons fed easy, thus keeps making sure I always get that well fed bonus not something I have to worry about.

- When I feel like it I'll do Glimmer and Gloom with a solver like mentioned above. Have gotten quick enough at it that it's not super taxing on the brain. Just don't do it super often because the constant rapid clicking isn't great for my hand/wrist.

Arlo's Ancient Artifacts Research Notes Giveaway!
the way i made the most amount of gems i've ever had was through getting extremely lucky. i won a dragon from roundsey and auctioned it off. so always suggest throwing at least a few tickets a week at roundsey. you never know what you might win.

the second way was by doing cold storage for a dominance battle, getting entered into my flight's raffle without even knowing, and winning an ice sprite that i sold.

both of these relied on getting extremely lucky with no skill, but also just trying to get involved as you can and where you can.

otherwise pretty much like the others just saving slowly over time and staying away from g1s and other expensive gene projects is how i earned everything else i have.

edit - also baldwin is your friend

for treasure, it can be easy (but kinda boring) to max out your daily limit!!
glimmer and gloom is the fastest way. I do very hard and use this solver
but if you get bored of that I find that artifracture is pretty refreshing and fun while still giving you pretty good treasure if you get far in!!

for gems, my current main sources of profit are baldwin's and the digsites!! if you constantly have something brewing in baldwin's, you'll get a lot of brewing materials, and you'll level up pretty far. once you're able to make things like genes and the bogsneak egg, you can profit off of them a ton. tide/foam sell pretty well on the AH, so I put all my digsite materials into getting those!!

other than that, I think everyone else has pretty much given all the other profit methods lol

I did it mostly by exalting, and I turned treasure into gems by buying eggs or Eliminates for treasure or buying genes/breed changes when Wind had Dom, and reselling for gems. I don't have the executive function to do forum sales or conversions.

the accumulation of dragoncash is just that: accumulation. for most people it takes a while! here's what i do:

-bond with familiars every day. i open all the chests for dupe apparel and familiars to melt at baldwin, and i sell those baldwin materials once in a blue moon. you will see other people say to sell all your chests. i personally think that the 15 or so gems and kt, alongside the contents of the chest (fodder familiars, apparel, or both) is usually more money and/or useful than selling it.
-sell stacks of food from coli alongside trainxalting. occasionally i go through less traveled venues for big-ticket swipp/hibden items.
-breed fodder to sell or exalt frequently.
-i should be doing fairgrounds but i am not. just trust me it's so much money i just hate g&g
-take advantage of every event! this is my favorite, it's the method i swear by. food microholidays can net you a tidy profit if you coli a lot and sell the spoils, i usually sell stacks of currency during festivals, warrior's way gets fodder levels quick and a lot of fodder familiars, notn gets you a supply of eggs for the year if you're into g1s, alongside a lot of money and fodder familiars for the year if you open strange chests. i personally do! plenty of people say sell the chests as they are, but i find that i still make a lot of dragoncash off of just selling eggs.
-i forage in fire every day (except festivals/notn, in which i dig) for pretty pink mums and blackberries.
