Hello, hello, hello! I was on a long hiatus from FR and I come back to find some people interested in my favorite dragons? I have been collecting rare and "unique" colored dragons since 2018.
If you're interested in adopting such a dragon, I actually have a
whole tab in my hibernal den of dragons for sale who (at the time they were hatched) are the only existing dragon to have their combination of colors! I have not used dragon search to update if they are still the only ones or anything, so you might have to search them up yourself.
I've been wanting to make a rescue thread for dragons like this, but I haven't had time and I thought there wouldn't be enough interest. But when I have hatched unique color combo dragons, I don't want to exalt them because they're the first ones to exist and who knows when another like them will hatch again.
Gen ones are of course a great way to get unique colored dragons into the site since they aren't bred from existing dragons. If you ever follow along a hatching thread and search each one, you'll probably find a unique! And they usually get sold for dirt cheap or exalted right away since they'll (almost always) be XYZs and
ugly undesirable colors.
One of my event Fathoms is the only Yellow/Periwinkle/Rust to exist
CreatesGod mentioned Stock the Pond, and that thread/idea has been great for producing unique dragons! I dragon search all my hatchlings, but not everyone does, and I know there's plenty of unique babies slipping through the cracks and getting grabbed as exalt fodder on the AH. I hatched this baby last year from one of my Stock the Pond pairs before I started my hiatus. She is still the only Tan/Grapefruit/Coral dragon to exist. (She is for sale for 12kt btw!)
And another thing: after looking through this thread, you probably have a good idea of what color ranges and combinations are more rare and likely to be unique. You can just scroll the low end of the AH and search promising dragons and you might just come across a cheap little rarity!
Lastly, if I hatch/obtain a unique colored dragon, I like to record it in their bio. Scatterscrolls can add confusion when you're trying to determine if a dragon is unique. For example, my fathom up there is the first, but he was only hatched a week ago. If some one uses a scatterscrolls on their 5 year old progen and just happens to throw the same color combo, dragon search is of course going to appear that the scattered dragon was first (because it's older). All I'm saying is, there's not official way to denote of this kind of thing, so if you are at all interested, keep track of it yourself! :)
dawnsilence, if you see this, I'm currently looking through my lair to see if I can breed an Aqua/Cherry/Cobalt. Update: nothing in my lair is close enough. I have a dragon that's close to
Cobalt/Cherry/
Aqua but not the other way around. But there are a lot of dragons with close colors! So it wouldn't be too hard to find a male and female to pair up and hatch until it the right colors pop up.
