jarchivist! my son he has every trauma. honestly i always thought of john as kinda pc coded even before i got my hands on this skin. i always picture him as holding onto something for dear life (tape recorder, statement, axe, pipe, fire extinguisher, martin's hand) and I MEAN having the thing sortakinda keeping him alive as his pearl makes sense right

also peacock cause it looks like eyes and shackled book cause hes Stuck. lol

MAH-TIN

OBELISK AS LONELY!!! because if you squint at it right, stoneshape can equal martin's disappear-y thing!! i have another obe with Lonely trauma whose story involves this principle too it's fun.

gave him a warmer outfit because i hc through the entirety of season 5, martin was like. all dressed up for an Adventure while it simply Never occurred to john to put on a coat bc he Knew they'd be going through the house fire and the forges on their way

he's dressed for the Quiet.

peacock in softer more neutral colours cause hes Also eye'd, the spaniel from the liveshow, the timepiece mostly just for more mist and the webs because i mean. rest in peace web!martin but i hc every time alex interjects in the bloopers it's an alt version of him that did become an avatar of the web but found the most benign possible way to use his powers

AND I HAVE ENTITIEs,

78088503_350.png

stranger!!! ok hi so i have weird crossover lore btween TMA and FR where the dread powers were bits of the elements that the associated deities went "in my domain? no freakin way" and cut em off and they gathered similar fears from the other territories like the most unhinged game of katamari damacy possible and now theyre gods.

anyway this means theyre ancients of whatever god cut them off instead of the Obvious ones (and also their element) (which will be important for the buried)

uuuh so .plaguebringer hates zombies right. and several of the entities are vibing in the scarred wasteland because shes chill and wont stop them. but the one that she does hate is the Stranger bc of all the. skin and taxidermy and stuff. it took some of shadow's clown things 'cause the tangled wood was Right There but when i draw it a custom it'll be very much the former situation.

nature castoff corruption. bc diseases and stuff are natural but she's the gladekeeper, not the gladeplant-seeds-and-just-let-whatever-happens-happen-even-if-it's-bad...er. scuttle is a no brainer (im weak to the corruption IRL and centipedes are why) and i just went with random other "spotty" genes bc i can get Really Weird for its accent.

water castoff Buried! because we never hear about the people who don't survive the sea of a thousand currents (by this same principle, the Desolation is also a water castoff)

since water has two, one of them gets to be a guardian but i picked UT for the Buried because deep sea creachurs. and capsule to uuuuh . symbolise water being inhaled.

"What- you, the father of all skepticism, worried?"

"Just because I don't think it happened doesn't mean I can't be worried."
Iroha Tamaki from Magia Record. The triple rose because hair color and Arcane Innocent Eyes was the closest that matched at the time. The edged secondary is in reference to her braids and current matched the long hair. I don't actually remember how I chose points tertiary but pretty nonetheless. Then came a recent day that I dressed her in dressing room with a pick of her magical girl form. The bow is in reference to her weapon and inspired by another Iroha fandragon I might give her an arrow from Valentine's Day (not priority as I like her as she is). The starsilks are in reference to a sort of brownish/blackish cloth she wears around her body. The Sakura Flowerfall a reference to her rumor as the Sakura tree. The love's herald a reference to her doppler in story. This was my recently completed Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V fandragons. I don't really scry the dragons to make a breeding project out of fandragons (outside Iroha). I mostly look in AH to see if they at least match the primary and secondary hair color (tert is whatever for me). She is based off of Gloria Tyler that shows up 100+ episodes in the show. I purchased her for Sanddollar to match the hair as said and about a week or two ago scried her to look matchy to the character's hair color. The Arcane Goat Eyes is in part to match color more than the line. I'm pretty proud of her and am halting some of the other fandragon projects as I am saving to splurge treasures next week with Nature getting 1st Place Dominance. I don't know which of the fandragons I have in hand I will work on next but it has been fun completing them. She's also the soft spoken type and i think it suits her very well! i gave her Harlequin because it brought the contrast with black accents that she has with her shoes, myrid is to bring out the orange accents in cream (she switches from bright blonde to being a redhead in the game) and she has antique sparkle as a nod to her light powers! which is also what the light aura festival thingy is for i might give her a vial of soft sight, because as much as bright fits for what she used to look like earlier in the story, her eyes do fade a little after she finishes her arc (at the same time as the hair color change) the outfit was a nightmare and a half to replicate. she has references in her bio it was really tough but i think i got it to work

This dragon has perfect blue eyes and gloom really suits, because Ciel is associated with blue, and his hair has similar color. And gloom has pink accent, that matches this dress. It's a dress that symbolize the dress from first season. Also, gloom means 'grief, darkness, obscurity'. It just fits the character.

I bought and gened this man on impulse a few weeks ago - he's an ancient Chinese artifact known as the Sword of Goujian. It's a Bronze Age sword that was found in a royal tomb, still sharp enough to be usable. The scabbard it was in was virtually airtight, which kept it from corroding.

[runs in] Okay so! I feel kinda bad reusing a post, but I did type out a proper infodump about two of my hyperfixation fandragons a bit ago and I'd really like to share it here. [emoji=shockswitch green size=1] Gyrus, the protagonist of the webcomic Room of Swords. Abstractly, the dragon is supposed to represent both who character is and what he has the potential to become - each version of him, in the different parts of his life. (This has to do with why the dragon's name isn't the same as the character's.) I went for a Wildclaw because it seemed to suit him best, with its upright posture (allowing for more articulate hands), powerful legs (for agility and rapid movement), and more ambiguous facial expression. Obsidian Capsule as a tertiary was the very first thing I knew he needed to have - it was perfect to represent a certain...aspect of his. For other colors, yellow (for the clothing he wears) and green (for his hair) are his main associations, so I wanted to incorporate both. For visual coherency, though, I needed the yellow primary to complement the green of the wings. As such, I went with a shade that didn't perfectly emulate his uniform color, but meshed while still getting the right vibe across. Pinstripe as a gene aided that goal, and the orderliness of it suits his personality. The Morph secondary added contrast and a fitting darkness to the look, without altering the color of the head crests too much. The apparel was meant to loosely emulate the look he had during season one - some level of armor, maybe some level of technology. The comet symbolizes his drone companion Scout, while the auras resemble the outward pulse that comes with the use of his jump boots. The character doesn't wear earrings like that, but they seemed fitting nonetheless, given his love of the stars. And of course, he needed a sword. For survival purposes. And then there's this charming individual, obtained at the same time: Don Santiago, the "nice musician," also hailing from Room of Swords. Again, each version of him represented together. His reasoning's a bit tougher to articulate. Pearlcatcher just seemed like the right breed, aesthetically - reasonably docile-looking (for someone who appears innocuous), with the pearl offering a good deal of symbolic potential (there are a lot of things it could contain - memories, power, something more abstract...). The Patchwork secondary was the base for his look; the humble, homemade look suits him, and I specifically chose a shade of brown that would come with other suitable colors - orange is his main color association, with some browns and reds thrown in there. The Tapir primary wasn't chosen for a particular symbolic reason, but I liked the way it complemented the wings and brought some visual interest while keeping it simple. The Sparkle tertiary was meant to emulate the orange music notes that accompany the use of his power. It doesn't add much, visually, but it doesn't need to. Simplicity, again, seemed appropriate, given the character's unassuming visage. As with Gyrus, Don's apparel is based on canon attire, albeit more closely. The Musical Spats were a nice bonus, rather blatantly calling back to his musicianship. The character plays both guitar and harmonica, but FR has apparel of neither, so I settled for a lute. Similarly, no tomatoes among the harvest apparel, so peppers instead to reference his gardening hobby. I might have to come back and talk about some of my others at some point, but for now, this post is long enough lol.

For Molly, I went with the song lyrics to design her. Shades, pearls, hat, bracelets, shoes, and of course a blue dress.
