I loved them from the moment I saw them. Immediately gened one of my G1s up on release day, have plans for a few more g1 dusties and a permababy too.
Safe to say that I adore them and that's not changing any time soon. Wouldn't say they're one of my favorites but they're still up there. Especially the hatchling pose. I need a million dustie babies please and thank you ^^

I loved them from the moment I saw them. Immediately gened one of my G1s up on release day, have plans for a few more g1 dusties and a permababy too.

I don't hate their design but they're still very much not an Earth breed to me
They're too squishy and smooth for a burrower

Initial thoughts were "Eh." though I quickly grew to love them. I know their smoothness, for lack of a better word, doesn't appeal to some people, but it's a big plus to me since it means more breathing room on their body for busy terts and primaries. Their likeness to armadillos is great too because armadillos are some of my favorite animals. Easily up there with Banes, Snurges, and Boas as my favorite Ancients. I adore the girls I got from the clanbound eggs.

It took a while for me to get over the initial “This is not what I expected, where are the six legs”. I have also come to like the bald, instead of always wanting to give them antlers or spores.
The tail rules. It puts a unique spin on preexisting genes, especially Skink. Also noticed recently that the fainted Coli pose is the Ball, which obviously makes it the best fainted pose ever. Also glad that we have a cheaper option for the Sailfish/Marlin fans. Coil is a fantastic gene and I hope it becomes parallel.
Have not become a fan of the F pose yet. It’s probably gonna be a long while before I buy or gene any Dusthides, since I like the other breeds better, but who knows? I’ll see what the future brings.
