i really liked all the hubbub of welcome weeks, but i'm also really glad that registration is open now so that we can welcome new users all the time :) i still try to continue the gift-bombing tradition when i notice a new user, because the gifting culture of Flight Rising makes me really happy. getting 20 pieces of apparel dropped on you as a newbie is a great way to break into the dragon-customization game and foster an attachment to the website & your dragons by having fun with them ;u; when you're new, every individual item matters all the more. some of the sweetest moments i've had on the site have been gifting items to newbies & seeing those items then get applied to their dragons. like, yes! your spiral is ROCKING those pants! i love it :)
