I remember when Glimmer first came out - I went absolutely insane for it, and though my wallet was none too happy, I was buying it for as many dragons as I possibly could. For a long time it's been the predominant tert in my lair, and I just love the sparkle of it. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=32174992] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/321750/32174992_350.png[/img] [/url] Kiran here with my favourite treasure tert, [b]Runes[/b] c: I love adding a little sparkle to a dragon, and Runes is always so gorgeous with any possible combo. I love the use of multiple colours in the tert, and I love finding accents and skins to match. Even now I'm still finding colours of Opal I haven't really seen before, and falling in love with the gene again and again. It's such a good tert ^^

Opal is some kind of godsend. It's the tertiary equivalent of skink, poison, pinstripe/tapir, and sometimes wasp that allows for the introduction of more than one color hue into a tertiary. Aside from filligree there aren't any tert. genes that really do this. This girl remains my favorite example of opal (vermilion opal is also one of my favorites): [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=33006264] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/330063/33006264_350.png[/img] [/url] Second on my list is capsule, which can also introduce multiple color hues (but not as bold as opal) to any scry. It's also a wonderful, economical way to avoid having to bu a glimmer gene every time for a 'belly' gene choice. This girl is raison d'etre regarding the capsule gene: [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=38225854] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/382259/38225854_350.png[/img] [/url] Finally, there is the stained gene. While I honestly appreciate runes much better than stained, it is absolutely invaluable in rescuing what would otherwise be compromised or difficult scries for any other tertiary. It's also great for producing colors that are not listed on FR's 169 list of colors, so every scry is kinda a novelty. Here is a scry (robin/radioactive XXY) that will be one of the few in my lair using stained.
