Oh no, Covid is a real drag. I caught it in October (during RoRcon, hilariously - but because of it, I had to miss a RL con) and I'm still not 100% better, I have a cough that just won't go away :/ Recently it got worse and I was sent for a chest x-ray but I think they were just being cautious, I haven't heard anything back and it hasn't got any worse (or much better, despite antibiotics). I also have an inhaler now for the first time in my life! I think it's just one of the symptoms of Long Covid. On the upside, my sense of smell and taste have finally come back, again not 100% but at least now they exist!
Take care of yourself, being run down makes you vulnerable to everything else that's going around. And good luck with the therapy, positive steps :) I hope you bounce back soon!
The worst part of all was that I stayed in bed for a week, but I thought it was just a really bad flu with a really annoying cough. (And I treated it like that, with vitamin C, specific medicines and syrup.)
Then one day the power went out at home and I asked a friend of mine if I could go to his house because I had to work. (Internet was necessary)
And then my friend and his wife got really sick the next day. My friend is a doctor and when he went to work he was taken off work and had to take a test, and that's when we found out:
it was COVID!
Only then did we find out it was Covid. I was already in my third week, so I was already recovering, but I'm still taking cough syrup because I occasionally have coughing fits.
That's because I've already had all three doses of the vaccine, so technically I didn't catch the worst of the disease, but it was still horrible. For a moment, I thought I had dengue fever. @

It all happened so fast and knocked me down so hard that I didn't even have time to go to the doctor, but after I got "better" from Covid my immunity dropped and then I had this abscess in the umbilical region, now on the 25th I will be doing two exams (ultrasound) to check if there is a possibility of having a small hernia in the region or if it was just a superficial infection in the skin/scar.
But regardless of the result, I believe I will be referred for umbilical correction surgery. (I didn't even know that existed). And the reason is even more ridiculous: it turns out that my belly button is so deep that it occasionally gets infections when my immunity drops.
In short, it was one problem after another and I've been on this tour for a month.
The ironic part is that I saw that Covid actually ends up making depression worse.
Everyone involved in this trip (my friends and I) had a depressive and anxiety crisis after getting better from Covid, which made me seek psychological help.
Of course, I'm not saying that Covid is the only reason for this, but it was literally the last straw for me to seek help for my mind.
I'm much better now after getting this help and seeing my therapist.
