Name: Giorno Giovanna (born Haruno Shiobana) Stand: Gold Experience (later evolves into Gold Experience Requiem) Series: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Voice Actor(s): Kensho Ono (Japanese), Phillip Reich (English Dub) Theme Song: il vento d'oro (best theme song no one can change my mind :p) Background: Giorno is the illegitimate son of Dio Brando, though he inherits the Joestar lineage from Jonathan Joestar’s body. He grew up in a rough environment but developed a dream of becoming a "Gang-Star" to reform the corrupt Passione mafia. Personality: Giorno is intelligent, ambitious, and determined, with a strong sense of justice. Unlike many Jojo protagonists, he is calm and calculated, rarely acting out of emotion. Though he is ruthless against his enemies, he is compassionate toward those he sees as allies or victims of injustice. He carries himself with charisma and confidence, making him a natural leader. Usually introverted, Giorno regularly maintains a facade of confident boldness, backed up by his intelligence and natural charisma, to make him look flawless to his peers. This is especially visible upon his first meeting with Bucciarati's team. He switches from a passive and polite demeanor to a self-assured persona when they try to bully him, impressing the whole team. When alone, Giorno is shown to be more humorous, and only in these moments does he allow himself to think about something other than his goal or act seriously. His parents' abuse encouraged his introverted nature and his habit of observing others, resulting in his deductive skills but also making him a silent person until something of importance needs to be said.  |
