 • a "dragon" that has been living on the island for years, even before avery and the lurking demon even had a chance to ever consider living here.

 • used to spend time exploring the island and being entertained at the littlest of new discoveries, such as a new acorn that grew on a tree.

 • now lives in an exposed hole underneath the roots of a tree, situated on a small hill. briar takes care not to make any of the townsfolk aware of their existence because of past experiences, but sometimes accidentally coming into contact with one is inevitable.

 • briar maintains a rosebush garden, thorns and all. he has countless scratches on his skin from the thorns, but he doesn’t notice them. he will notice though if someone were to ruin his flowers and will take the necessary precautions to make sure it does not happen again.

 • in the past, their skin was fully intact and they looked like any other sandsurge (aside from the feathered wings), and had actually died from old age. quickly after, he was revived by the island.
