Biography
This is Presto the Ringleader. Presto has been with the circus for a while, but is quite new to performing. During performances, Presto can be found leading the performance in the tent. During down time, they can either be found spending time with their partner Debirae, or following Fearless around.
Presto joined the circus as a young adult. They were at the market, scoping out interesting dragons to talk to, when they spotted Fearless at a produce stall. They hurriedly ran up to Fearless, hoping to strike up a conversation to ease their boredom. "Excuse me! It's not often we see other Aberrations around these parts!" they say to the somewhat older dragon before them. It seems they were being ignored, but less this dragon wanted to engage with them, the more determined they became. "So, how'd you end up round here?" they said, hoping this could be their gateway into a conversation. "How is that any of your business?" the older dragon mumbled with a glare. Presto took this response as a challenge, making them ever more persistent. "Well, it's rather rude not to answer my question, is it not?" The older dragon moved to the next stall, containing baked goods. "It's not rude when it's some rando asking personal questions on the street." They said as they grabbed an apple pie from the stall, quickly paying the stall owner and moving on. "Well, can we at least know your name?" Presto said with a smirk, relentlessly following them from stall to stall. Fearless rolled their eyes and continued on with their shopping, hoping this annoying young dragon would soon find someone else to bother. Presto continued following them throughout the day, asking questions and telling their new friend short, pointless anecdotes, hoping to annoy them into conversing. Finally, Fearless had to leave the market, as they could not avoid going back to the circus any longer. Presto continued telling them about their many experiences out on the streets. As soon as they realized they were heading towards the circus, they became ecstatic. "Wait, do you work at the circus? How'd you land a job there? You're so lucky! We've always dreamed of performing, but we've just never gotten the opportunity to. The closest we ever got was dancing on the street for money, but turns out we're not that great of a dancer." They said with a chuckle. Before they had just planned on following the dragon until they were forced to go away. It wasn't like they had anywhere else to be. But to their surprise, Fearless never told them to go away. So they followed them into the circus, all the way to the workers only area. They paused for a second, unsure if they should go any further. Fearless noticed that their follower had stopped, and turned around with a look that Presto took as an invitation. As they walked through the the back of the circus, Presto looked around and admired the sights this stranger had allowed them to see, forgetting what their original goal of this adventure even was. The silence was broken by soft, grumbly voice. "It's Fearless, by the way," it said, breaking Presto from admiring their surroundings, allowing them to refocus on their current situation. Still, they said nothing in response. This was the first time someone let them come this far with them. Eventually, Fearless took them into a tent. Inside, Linna and Timbre were fixing broken props and sewing torn costumes. "Finally!" Linna said, "We've been waiting so long! Come help me get dinner started, what'd you get from the market?" Then, she noticed the new faces. "Oh? Brought home a new friend, did you, Fearless? Quite a rare sight for you," She said in a joking manner. "They need somewhere to stay, and they want to perform," Fearless said as they set down the groceries and continued preparing dinner. Presto was stunned. Their dream had come true. Linna saw the look of disbelief on their faces and smiled. "Well, we'll figure out your performance skills tomorrow. Tonight, lets just focus on introductions! I'm Linna, and I own the circus! This is Fearless, our ringleader, and that's Timbre, one of our contortionists! We actually just gained another contortionist last week, too. I'll have to introduce you guys during dinner!" And with that, Presto was part of the circus. After meeting Debirae, they formed a closed bond, and they eventually began dating. Over time, they also formed a closer bond with Fearless, and they became sort of an older brother to them.
Presto is quite talkative and loves to strike up a conversation with guests after a show, but they sometimes get overstimulated when they try and talk to too many dragons at once. When they get overstimulated, they will usually sit in a dark tent with Debirae, if they're available. They also enjoy doing mischief, but only really with Debirae and Goewyn.
