Ruby joined the colony alongside Maro and Gosun actually, and used to be a guardian the woods had trapped. Once no longer tied to her larger form however? Oh things started to go her way. She is smart, cunning, rose through the ranks back then as smoothly as a hot knife cutting through flying butter. She eventually reached the rank of an Advisor, one of the most trusted ones to the reigning queen (or king), there could be. Which as a former outsider was already impressive. But she wanted more. The yearning back for Sornieth was strong, but there was no way Ruby would give up this second, incredibly chance at a way of life and title slip away from her. So why not get the best of both worlds? At least she's trying to accomplish that. Most know of it too, even if she thinks they don't. But so far Crimsha has been holding firm in not moving the colony outside of the woods. Singing or not, this was their home, and a massive den structure like this could not be moved nor abandoned easily. But Ruby was sure it could once she'd get through to the important people. |
