While no one can deny Tourmaline's excellence at leading the clan through any number of circumstances, whether good or bad, if there was one thing the clan could say she was sometimes lacking was a sense of warmth. Don't take it the wrong way, but Tourmaline can be a little bit too cool and calculating. When Ambrose joined the clan during it's early formative time, Tourmaline began to notice his way of calming the youngsters and creating a sense of camaraderie among the mixed group of adults. She began to entrust him with small projects to encourage the clan growth and social relations. Ambrose enjoyed his time working close with Tourmaline and would take delight in breaking down her walls to find the warmly compassionate dragon that she was and how she was rather a dork with her love of her Vulstal companion. Since then, his relationship with Tourmaline has solidified and his position as her second in command has become official. They've come to realize that they round out each others flaws and strengths perfectly, making them a strong team to work for the good of the clan.
