Radagast is an enthusiastic artist and consumer of nature. You might think, given how he piles so much onto himself and into the little lean-to he happily lives in in the woods, that he lacks discernment, but he has plenty. It's just that only Radagast knows or understand Radagast's standards, which are a mystery to anyone else coming across him.

And come across him they may. Radagast is a loner only in the sense that he lives deep in the woods circling the perimeter of the clan's land, but he's as happy about saying 'hi' to his fellow dragons as he is about saying it to the rocks, leaves, and beetles he comes across in his day to day.
