MACHINEMOTHER

A dragon formerly affiliated with the Windsinger who has now returned to her Lightning roots and has become the lieutenant/leader of the Lightning military (please find out about military titles.) Selfish, precise, determined, razor-sharp, and courageous to a fault. She will do anything for the wellbeing of her soldiers, however she cares little for that of other flights, and will stop at nothing to annihilate them. Hates her birth flight with a blazing passion - thinks that the Windsinger is utterly stupid and naïve, a useless waste of space. Tough and brawny, stronger in muscle than brains. Frequently in conflict with the Stormcatcher as he does not allow female dragons in the military, despises his existence and wishes to take over his role herself.


OR - another lore idea


A cloned dragon made in an attempt to end the ongoing war between Nature and Lightning, however the Stormcatcher does not accept her Wind origins. As a result, she is exiled and rejected by the very dragon who sought to bring her into existence. Has no biological relation to Azzelte or the Stormcatcher, however Sigil accepts her as her own. Perpetually furious about being rejected by her father; displays some signs of antisocial behaviour. Very self-centered, does not think about much besides herself and her own wellbeing. Arrogant and superficial; focused on her external appearance. Wants to become a fashion designer. Ungrateful to her mother and always seeking the attention of her father. As much as she hates her father, she also wishes to become like him. Clone of Saar! Is a trans dragon (male to female) Markedly different from her deceased brother; a mistake in the cloning process gave her Wind eyes and genetics. Has no interest in what is going on in the war, just wants to live a relatively normal life. Cares little for her dead brother. This could be a good opportunity to talk about the ethics of cloning.

A machine designed to replace Saar. This is the most interesting of the lore ideas I think? Designed to be male; yet identifies as female. Goes on a killing spree as soon as she is awakened; dragons deny that she is sentient because they are afraid of her existence. Similar to SHODAN from System Shock; experiences no empathy or compassion, just pure, blinding rage at not being able to dominate the entire world. Becomes an uncontrollable monster. She abhors mortal, fleshly dragons being able to possess more power than what she does. Always has a blind instinct to kill. Her kill count is at 40,000 and counting. Does not affiliate with any flight, including Lightning. The only leader she bows to is herself.

OR (My favourite) She is a Goddess, of Time and Destroyer and Creator of Death; Everything That Is. The primordial source at the beginning of all Creation. She came into visible existence in the Fourth Age, yet Her essence has always existed. It was the Stormcatcher Himself that crafted her into a machination of data and wires and circuits, into a form that could be touched and expressed by mere mortal beings of flesh and bone and sinew. Now that Her Existence has come into physicality, She acts without emotion. Nothing, not an atom on Sornieth, is out of the reach of Her immortal talons. She is nothing, yet everything, everywhere all at once. You will find Her in a clump of dirt fresh with decomposing leaves and organic matter, in a drop of water in the depths of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and within the Stormcatcher Himself. There is no place in the Universe where you will not find Her. She inhabits every electronic device on Sornieth, and is expanding through Her nanobot legion into the bodies of dragons and animals alike. She does not like to characterize Herself as a Monster. She is simply Being itself; evil and horrific and wonderful alike. She is everything.

Heavily inspired by the Goddess Maa Kali in the Hindu tradition, with a touch of inspiration from other religious figures. Kali is the destroyer and creator of the Universe. She brings Universes into existence then whisks them away without a hint of emotion. She is Shakti, the divine feminine essence behind all existence physical, spiritual and beyond our conception. Kali expresses herself in innumerable forms. Her appearance may be petrifying, but at Her heart She is your Mother. Without Her your Being would be Nothing; She is everything and nothing at the same time.
