When the butler, Macaron, was assigned to give her a tour of the mansion during her stay as their guest, Diamond began to develop feelings for him. They had eggs together in secret, but when one started to hatch, they were discovered. Lord Leech was furious. He called their coupling selfish and unnatural, their children would always be doomed to suffer, for they would be neither living nor dead.
But Diamond felt just as betrayed as the vampire lord. Macaron had never told her what he really was: undead. They were both banished, never to return. The vampires kept the daughter she had named Misty, and the others were sent off to be raised by different clans.
In blind fury, Diamond left the dragon she thought she loved. She wept, howling in anguish and sorrow, until she died of a broken heart months later. As she lay dying, memories came rushing back, of another dragon she loved...
Berry...I'm so sorry...
When her soul left her aching body and broken heart, everything was dark, and she was lost. She was soon greeted by a strange Nocturne, and he called himself Gil. He vowed that he would bring her somewhere safe: to where dragons who died on the Longest Night are taken, and she went with him.
She didn't know if she would ever see her children or Berry again. But she knew she would never forgive Macaron...
