Stranglers The name "stranger" implies they are constrictors, so there could be some influence from Green Tree snakes or Green Tree Pythons. An old staff QnA said that they were originally created by combining the words "vine" and "snake". They don't have the long pointed nose like real vine snakes though. |

other Based on the descriptions, Shattered Serpent and Shadow Serpent could be based on Banded Sand Snakes or the Sahara Sand Viper. I'm not sure for Spirit of Wind, but my best guess is there's influence from Flying Snakes. because... wind. |
