Many are the ghost stories of the deepest parts of the Viridian Labyrinth, stories of lost souls who could not find their way. Stories of dragons whose re-animated, decomposing bodies became the growing ground for green life even as their spirits still searched for the path. They would use this camouflage to ambush unsuspecting travelers..

... Thornbones is not one of these undead dragons, but he thinks it is really freaking funny to scare dragons who have heard the stories. It's one of his rare pleasures in life these days. He was once a blacksmith of the clan and the aide of his mate, Silva, but magic was always what fascinated him the most. He was foolish enough to play with spells, and powers he did not fully comprehend, and a spell gone haywire caused his current appearance. Greens grew from his bones, parasitic plants that saps him of his strength, and he lost his vision to a pair of branches that now grows from his eye sockets. No longer able to serve as a blacksmith, he instead became one of Morgans most dedicated disciples... studying magic and herbalism in the frail hope of curing his, ultimately lethal, condition.

He does not speak much at all, but makes an exception for sharing all of his favorite ghost stories. He is occasionally seen in the company of travelers who share his affinity for magic, discussing the finer shades of magic.

.... the stories I can tell... to chill the bones.. to shiver the heart. Tell me, traveler.. do you truly not fear the dark?
