He is a loving mate to Queen Azyolith and a father to Avera, Zelia, and Kinxo. The Cursed King only has a few years left before the curse ultimately succumbs to him. He worries that the curse will make him go berserk and one of his kids will have to put him down. Xendrad hopes the curse will only turn him into a crystal statue. While it will be painful, it will be the best.

Prince Years : The Curse

Before Xendrad became King, he was an adventurous prince. He never did what his mother asked of him. The young prince would always sneak off to the Wispwillow Grove of the Shadow Flight territory. He then met a Nocturne dragoness. The dragoness has midnight-black scales; she has a transparent swirl pattern with hints of purple, and her underbelly has glowing cyan-blue markings. They hit it off almost instantly as moons passed, and the dragoness told the blue dragon all her woes. He frowned and vowed to get her away from this dark place she was living in. They were happy at the time. However, as more moons pass, he becomes distant. The prince had his eyes on a Sky Dancer dragoness from his kingdom and pursued her. They both fell in love. However, he knew he had to break it off with the Shadow Dragon. He frowned, knowing full well this wasn’t going to go well. He presented himself, and the midnight-black dragon was happy seeing the prince, but the blue dragon put his paw on her chest. “I’m sorry, Nerila, this isn’t going to work. I met someone else in my Kingdom,” he said. The nocturne dragon is shocked and then snarls. “What?! You promised me to get me out of here! You know how awful it is for me!” the young female dragon snarled—the prince winced, listening to the pain in her voice. “I’m sorry. I’m not the right one for you.
“So be it. I curse thee to feel the pain that has been dealt to me. I curse you for being dealt the broken promise that you made. This promise is that crystal will grow on your body, and the Starwoods will abandon you.” The dragoness then disappeared, leaving him alone, wondering what had happened. Until he felt a searing pain on his wings as purple eyes grew on the lub feathers falling out and grew a dark purple. He panted from the pain and wondered how he would hide it.
As he returned home, all the arcane dragons gasped and screamed, seeing the curse that had befallen him. They were all disgusted except the Sky Dancer he liked. She nuzzled him, comforting him, and stuck by the blue dragon's side. Seventy years have passed, and he was finally given his royal mark, which one of his foreleg was made of star wood, and the galaxy has blessed his wings. However, dark magic came to play, and purple smoke came from his eyes and claws. He knew he was now one of the cursed dragons.
