Bran

Bran was a guard of the magical sort. He put wards and alarms around whatever he was guarding and nobody got through. He was dependable and steady as a stone tower. He’d traveled all the way to explore his father’s homeland but even he had to eat so he put his skills to good work. He’d been hired to watch over hoards, magical experiments, ancient objects and even other dragons before he’d found himself on this ship in the Crescendo. He delighted in telling the hatchlings stories of the thieves he’d caught and wonders he’d seen. He delighted in talking to the wizards and scholars about what he’d seen because he was whip-smart and noticed much about his temporary charges and their owners. He delighted in speaking with the advisors about his living charges and what he learned about their clans and the area around them.

There were some things he never spoke of though, gaps in the timeline he painted, that he breathed not a word of. His process for picking clients was a mystery, it seemed utterly random what jobs he took and denied even when they were the same thing. Many of his clanmates speculate it’s something inherited from his Water mother, some foresight or scrying tool that told him which jobs were the safest or paid the most. He would just smile and redirect the conversation when anyone asked. His own treasures were also a mystery. He kept them locked and warded up tight and there was talk that he’d actually stolen some of his jobs and kept them, others disagreed and said that it was full of mementoes and the trophies of his defeated opponents. Any enemies who tried found his large patience quickly burned through and was left at the mercy of his considerable temper.
