It takes you a minute to make out the critter that's paid you a visit. Barely making out their many limbs and tentacles, they look up at you eagerly for you to notice them. The moment you do, they turn to a small wagon behind them, dragged along by a pair of their tentacles. Inside is a couple small boxes and a carefully wrapped strawberry, which they are eager to offer up first.
"Here!" They exclaim, holding the fruit up expectantly, "It's not much, but it's for you!"
Taking it, they do the same with the small boxes, not seeming to mind that you have to bend down to pick up the gifts. When finished, they bound back from where they'd come from, meeting up with a brightly colored peacock spider before disappearing from sight shortly after. Certainly a strange little creature, but a nice one. You wonder if they'll be by again sometime.

You're taken aback by the three pairs of eyes that look into your own as you answer the call to your lair. Sitting back on their hind legs is a bizarre creature sporting more than a couple extra pairs of arms. The ones located in more 'normal' locations take your attention first, but your eyes drift to the smaller pairs carefully curled close to their body not long after. As they raise a few pairs of tentacles, you're briefly distracted by the appendages before noticing each is carrying a basket filled with fruit and small boxes.
They transfer one of the baskets into a pair of their arms, offering it to you, "For you!" They beam as they bring the basket closer, "Thought you may like a little something. Everyone needs a treat now and then. So, I try and be one of those handing them out! Enjoy!"
As you take the basket handed your way, the critter carefully arranges the others by the entrance. Still smiling, they say a brief farewell, bounding off to their next destination. They pause briefly to pick up a large, vibrant peacock spider as they do, giving it a nuzzle before running off again. For something so strange, they're quite charming. Maybe you'll see them again.

You freeze in place briefly as you're greeted by a mass of fur. A second look allows you to distinguish the many limbs of the sudden guest, albeit hidden behind the many, many boxes they hold. Even some smaller limbs grasp a couple of the smaller strays, clutching them close to the beast's body as to not drop them. Spotting you, they slowly lower their head, six eyes watching carefully as they tilt forward, dropping a small box from off their head into your arms.
Watching you catch the sudden package without harm, they smile, maneuvering the rest into a quickly growing pile beside the entrance. "Sorry if I scared you," they say, gaze diverting away from you, "I wanted to bring a lot of gifts but that's hard to do without either help or becoming this size." They turn their attention back, "I do hope you enjoy. I know it's a lot, but I'm sure there's at least one thing in here for you."
They pause to finish building the pile of gifts, careful not to stack too high for you to reach. They watch quietly and intently as you begin to bring some inside, calling for help as you do so. Seeing that you've got the pile handled, they relax, rising to their feet once again to bid farewell. As they turn to lumber off, you catch a glimpse of a spider sleeping on their back, comfortable. You catch yourself smiling too now. For something so large and potentially intimidating, they appear kind and sweet. Perhaps you'll see them again in the future.
(It's here because I did make it under the idea that Alex was running a little cafe with familiars/chimeras running around.)
