Cynical by nature, Macabre has quite the taste for his namesake. In truth, he lost all memories of the life he lived upon his passing. “Macabre” was the name he chose for himself. Though even without his memories, his prickly attitude remained. Ever since his peculiar revival, Macabre found himself caring less and less about the affairs of mortals. If anything, the time caused resentment to grow in his rotting heart. He considers himself more dead than undead, and takes advantage of his circumstances by doing everything as he sees fit. That means he cares not for morals and ethics, and isn't afraid to get what he wants. With the freedom to do whatever he wants without consequence, Macabre oozes potential danger. Too many choices leads to a lack of satisfaction, though, and Macabre finds himself constantly bored out of his skull. He lives not to live, but only because he cannot die. Believe him, he has tried many times to end it and failed.
Macabre will often jeer at others who are hopeful or heroic in nature, claiming that their actions are meaningless. Why try so hard when we are all fated to inevitably die at some point? He behaves this way out of spite and jealousy for those who are praised for their actions. The happier someone is, the more eager he is to put them down. Style is the only one he expresses anything less than hatred for, despite his frequent mocking of her.
