She / Her
Quin
Lore Snippit
Quin didn't quite understand what 'family' meant for most of her childhood. Her parents seemingly dropped her egg off on this small windswept island, or, at least that is what Aurore told her growing up. Aurore was the closest thing Quin ever had to family, even if she was only there for a few days out every couple of monthes. But the days Aurore was there..
"QUINNNN!!!"
The bright pink dragon crashed into a hanging branch of the one large tree lazily slopped over the edge of the isle. She fixes her goggles (which were now stern sideways from the not-so-clean landing) as she begins to untangle her trunk and other belongings from the tree.
"Aurore?"
Quin had been fishing on one of the lower edges when she heard the commotion, wincing after hearing the crash.
"Again?!?"
The little blue nocturne dropped her pole quickly and sprung up against the slight breeze to find Aurore.
After arriving to the scene, Quin just sighs and starts mimicing the erratic wildclaw to untangle her many belongings.
Aurore pauses to giggle at the tiny nocturne. But then she stops, lowering her tone she says
"I've brought you something wonderful this time Quin. I believe you're now old enough."
After seeing Quin still, she turned her pink eyes to the small satchel still connected to her waist. She reaches her talons in and fumbles around, her claws finally emerging with a small paper and map rolled and tied together with a green ribbon.
Quin furrows her brow and glances from the papers back to Aurore. Her Archaic eyes are now instense with an emotion the nocturne had yet to understand.
She would only come to realize later that this was the start of her life. The swaying branches and darting rays of sunlight, the smell of the Reedcliffs mixing with the Sea, the large pink wildclaw, and most importantly the small rolls of paper in her claws.. These small details were now engraved into her mind.
She takes the papers. She had never unfurled something with such care, and after setting the ribbon on a nearby branch she unrolled the map and the piece of paper with it.
A map. And a lopsidedly written deed for a home in the Viridian Labyrinth.
Quin meets Aurores eyes once again, tears rapidly forming.
A pink clawed paw reaches out gently for Quins face, cupping her boney cheek.
