» About Arriving as a gift from the Myth, Deidra puzzled the dragons of the Oasis. They've never seen a breed of dragon like her. Clearly Deidra was from the Scarred Wasteland, and whatever infection she carried with her, she had the mysterious tendency to spread around. She was placed with the hatchlings of the Flames of Youth, and young Flicker was the first to approach her. The next morning, the hatchlings were woken up by Oculin, and Flicker revealed her head... no, two heads. This made the Oasians reluctant to keep Deidra around, not wanting themselves or anyone else to be infected, but Flicker didn't seem to be in any kind of pain. She didn't even seem to mind looking different. The Shadowborne leaders Omisha and Perseus took Deidra in and placed her under the watch of Cenobia to find a way to contain her contagion, and allow her to live safely and freely within the Oasis. |

» More info With her, Deidra brought in secret a young dragon that looked like he was part of the same breed. At first, the Oasians were afraid that Deidra was somehow multiplying, as this other dragon, known now as Sedai, wasn't a part of the gift from the Myth- he was brought over the boundaries of the Oasis by Deidra during the night, and they were too small and quiet for Cygnea to spot while at her guard post. Both Deidra and Sedai were confirmed by Cenobia to be a different species entirely, which interested the Shadowborne immensely. With Rosetta's permission, Deidra and Sedai were allowed to stay. Rosetta reached out to other clans, including the Myth, to find out if they knew anything about this ancient breed- she discovered that these dragons were popping up all over Sornieth, and desperately needed a place to live. |
