He stretched his wings, feeling the urge to take to the sky once more. His thoughts drifted to his beloved spouse, Mangosteen, who lay beside him. Her beautiful purple scales shimmered in the golden sunlight that filtered into their den. Mazarine couldn't help but smile as he recalled the radiant joy that had lit up her face during their performance. "Good morning, my love," Mazarine whispered, brushing his snout against Mangosteen's cheek. She stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "Good morning, Maz," she murmured, her voice still laced with sleep. "I had the most amazing dream...about our flight yesterday," Mazarine said, a mixture of excitement and nostalgia in his tone. "It felt so real, as if we were soaring among the clouds again." Mangosteen's eyes sparkled with fondness as she sat up, gently running her claws through Mazarine's cerulean scales. "Oh, I miss it already," she admitted, a wistful smile gracing her lips.
