Biography

Halliwell
Leader

The clan of Misfortune started not with a bang, but with the whimper of a scared hatchling. All alone, Halliwell didn't know why he had been left behind in this cruel, scarred land, but he knew he needed to keep moving if he was to survive the night. The first weeks of isolation went by slowly, the tundra learning how to hunt and forage for what he needed to live.

When he met a quiet female tundra - Kanyalli - he fell fast and hard. She could move faster than any other dragon, she spoke with the firmness of a leader who ruled with iron claws, she was his shining knight in armor; Together, they had many children, though all of them left for greater things and different clans.

Their granddaughter, "Miss" Bones, stayed with them and became a healer for the tiny group of dragons they had together. Soon they picked up Myphe, a flighty fae who took it upon herself to write down the history of the clan and write down everything Halliwell spoke about.

The next to join them was the old general Overseer, who had been looking for a place where her skills were needed. Eventually, the old ridgeback's lover, Ziora, followed after Overseer, and the two became two of the closest friends Halliwell could have asked for.

With their clan growing as it was, they had a need to keep moving, unable to find a home that could agree with all in the clan. They found Cador and Castle fighting through a nasty storm, and took in the tired dragons, quickly finding Castle's fighting experience and Cador's sneaky ways would help keep their clan safe.

They still had not found a suitable home by this point, and continued wandering. It wasn't until they stumbled upon an ancient graveyard where a dragon by the name of Reaper lived with his daughter, Tragedy, and her friends Auron and Ace that Halliwell found the very thing he had searched many years for. Just a short walk from the graveyard, they finally found their home; a valley between two rising hills of disease, where a lake of clear water was home to the beautiful water spirit Jenga, and in the trees was the ray of bright sunlight, Solis.

The clan continued to grow, taking in those who needed a home, those who were broken and rough around the edges. Halliwell grew older, silver hairs replacing the golden fur he'd been born with, marking his age. Throughout the years however, he stayed kind and cheerful, no longer having children with his love and wife, but instead taking in dragons with no where else to go.

Those in his clan have met misfortune and cried their tears and had their hearts be shattered, but here, here they could find a reason to live their lives to fullest.

Halliwell's clan is for the ones with no hope, the ones who fight the storm, the ones who go against the flow, the dragons who have been hardened by despair and weakened by sorrow, he will accept them all with open arms and kindness in his still beating heart.

Even more have joined the clan, a ruthless hunter by the name of Kynigos, the gentle angel Sachoak, the scholar Soleil and the mysterious dragon Malachi. Many others continue to stream in, time and fear and darkness drawing them into the still growing clan.

Even more has happened. New allies, new faces cropping up everywhere. Halliwell had to say goodbye to good friends who needed to leave, even seeing Jenga on her way. He saw the shadowy pearlcatchers leave for better places, even Fever and Sunrise were packing up to leave.

A part of the old leader hurt, but he accepted the change. He had to.

There would be more, more souls searching for safety, more clans lurking at the edge of his bountiful land, more old friends that would leave or perish, but he had his wife and he had his granddaughter and his good friends that would not leave him....not for now anyway.
