While training in the coliseum one night Fulmine and Forgeron came across a lost fire egg. With the Stormwings still being a small clan at the time, Fulmine decided it would be best to bring the egg home in an attempt to eventually add one more member to the family. After all, Forgeron had his boiling smithing forge set up in the lair and surely the egg would feel right at home in the infernal heat. Thus with Asani’s blessing the lone egg was accepted into the Stormwing’s nesting grounds. Weeks passed without any sign of life from the egg and Fulmine and Foregeron thought the fires of the smithing forge were just not hot enough to support an egg of the Flamecaller’s domaine. One trip to the Molten Scar and freshly revived forges later, the egg started to quiver and shake. Life at last! In a sigh of relief the denizens of the clan once again returned to watching the egg in wonder. Day in and day out. On one particularly stormy night, when the thunderstorms raged across the desert, the egg started to glow bright, becoming consumed by the lava and flames of its homeland. Surrounded by the curious eyes of the clan, the small fiery mirror erupted from his shell with violence rivaling the storms above. Wily from the start, the hatchling rose from his lava nest and squared up with the largest thing in the room: Forgeron. The Ridgeback was amused and craned his long neck down to be at eye level with the runt. “Murloch” his voice rumbled. The Mirror froze. “You will be Murloch and my mate and I will care for you.” Forgeron stood his full height once more, assuring the rest of the clan that he could care for a flameling as he had spent much of his early life in the Blacksand Annex, learning the ways of Flamecaller’s dragons.

Murloch’s personality rivals that of a viper. Silent, calculating, and dangerous. After a lifetime of being raised and trained by Forgeron he serves as the Ridgeback’s Striker, making armor and materials to support the clan. However, where the Mirror really shines is in the coliseum where he can let free his harbored strength and violence. His fighting style is ruthless and bloodthirsty when left unchecked. One day he hopes to return to his homeland to find his true origins. Why was he abandoned as an egg?? Anytime the Mirror speaks of this though his tone is laced with venom.. |
