Hiherapinth

If you want to talk to the progenitor dragons of Prism Grotto, you talk to Hiherapinth, because she's the one who actually likes to talk. A connoisseur of gossip and stories, no matter who you are, when you arrive in Prism Grotto she will sidle up to you and make a very polite, impossible to refuse demand that you tell her absolutely everything about your journey. This place is miles beneath some of the harshest terrain in Carrion Canyon, filled with weird magic and bizarre animals and leftover pockets of Shade; there's no way your journey isn't interesting. She'll return the favor with stories of her own, and one of her favorite pastimes is to curl around the hatchlings in the nursery and spin tales that may or may not be true. The friendly gossiping persona she maintains isn't entirely fake, per se, but it's not not fake either. Hiherapinth likes knowing things, and that's that. In times of war, she's a spymaster, because she likes knowing things. In times of peace, she's a librarian, because she likes knowing things. If you're an adventurer in need of knowledge that you can't find above ground, Hiherapinth will trade it to you in exchange for a quest to find some other knowledge, because she likes knowing things. Her nearly constant companion is an awakened quill named Quoth, who transcribes her stories, her guests' stories, the results of her experiments with document preservation, her lovemate's prophetic dreams... and if you see Quoth without its mistress, that just means she thinks you're interesting enough to spy on. Try to feel flattered, rather than disturbed.

The Unblinking Sisters are, collectively, Hiherapinth's personal nemesis, because they threaten her status as Carrion Canyon's foremost knowledge broker and they keep summoning unspeakable aberrations that she or her clan members then have to hunt down.
