Biography

ZEITGEIST...
...

For as long as anyone could remember, Zeitgeist and Einhart had always been together. They found each other when they were young dragons during a freezing cold night in the Southern Icefields. It was purely coincidental that their colours matched exactly. Perhaps it could be called fate.

Zeitgeist was smitten by the large Ridgeback as soon as he saw her. At the time, she boasted an icy Gembond which seemed to dance atop her Midnight scales like newly fallen snow. Although his colours also matched hers, he never cared for it until seeing Einhart for the first time.

She was sitting atop an Icy outcropping, gazing at Sornieth’s two moons with a far-off look in her eyes. The moonlight reflecting on her scales was dazzling to Zeitgeist. He just watched her for a while, bathing in the feeling of her beauty. She eventually stood up and Zeigeist was panicked! He didn’t want her to leave. Without realising, he called out to her from the shadows. She was startled and swiftly backed away.

“Who are you?” She demanded an answer.

The following conversation would change the course of their lives and bring them closer together. (Find out what happened in Einhart’s bio (to be written soon lol)).

SOUTHERN SKYWAY
RESPITE AND TRADE STATION

ice_small.png

The clan has been living in the Southern Icefields for several years now. A large respite station has been opened to coincide with the clan progenitor's fourth birthday. It is located on the north-eastern side of the Southern Icefields, in one of the smaller coastal mountains in the Cloudscrape Crags.

ICY NOOK INN
The Icy Nook Inn is the only place within the Southern Skyway for travelling dragons to lodge at, making this family-run accommodation require a large space to facilitate all the new arrivals. The Inn is a type of bed and breakfast, which spans two levels of the station.

The respite and trade station might see several hundred dragons come and go each week. Most of them will only stop to resupply before continuing their journey, but that still leaves at least 100 dragons staying at the Inn at any one time.

The Icy Nook Inn has 62 rooms available. These rooms range from signal occupant rooms to those that can accommodate up to four dragons at a time. The most expensive rooms are those that also look out into the Arboretum. Due to the Inn being inside a mountain, these rooms are the only ones with a view.

Artieno and her brother Zeitgeist greet the guests and see to their needs. Artieno monitors the check-in and check-out dates on the main level, while Zeitgeist handles the top floor. He is also in charge of general maintenance. They both communicate between the two reception desks by way of a speaking tube (or voice pipe) to keep track of available rooms.

Einhart, Zeitgeist’s mate, handles the bed and breakfast side of things. Every morning she prepares a buffet style breakfast to feed the guests. No other meals are provided throughout the rest of the day. This was a condition set by the clan leader, Arkantos, when they started plans for opened the Icy Nook Inn. The purpose behind this decision was to give the station’s food outlets a chance to earn a profit, and in return this nn would be the exclusive accommodation within the Southern Skyway [Respite and Trade Station].
After Einhart has finished cooking and cleaning, she continues to clean the rooms with which have had their occupants check-out. Understandably, this is quite a large job for Einhart to do alone. As a result, the family hires various travellers for short lengths of time to work at the Inn. These travellers are usually trustworthy ones who want to earn a little more treasure before departing for their next destination.
