Biography

Trustworthy as the dark and slyest of thieves, Artemisia was born of deceit and secrecy. Slipping through the shadows with a smirk on his face, he was rarely seen sliding through defenses and stealing from his brethren. Tricksy and arrogant, Artemisia lived for the despair and sadness of others discovering their treasures lost. He snorted at those living with families and clans. He considered them liabilities and setbacks; leeches he'd have to share his ill-begotten treasure with.

Eventually, though, the thrill of the steal wasn't so thrilling. The heartbroken cries became more and more quiet. Lost treasures had become a part of life for those around him. Something began to eat at Artemisia. It started out as a small niggling in the back of his mind, before burrowing painfully and deliberately into his consciousness. He had no purpose anymore! Nothing to get him out of his hole in the morning.

Angry and dejected, Artemisia left his life behind him. He stole as he traveled, and for a short while the thrills and screaming came back although without the same pleasure. Slinking through the bright green grasses, a tinkling sound jarred his head up. It was... laughter? Happy, genuine laughter? Artemisia crept closer curiously. There, between two brambles he hid behind, was the most lively dragon he'd ever seen. Her chocolate scales gleamed in the sunlight, her wings glowing like jewels. Incensed at his own curiosity, Artemisia stepped forward through the brambles, totally and irrevocably caught by his own heart.
