THE CLAN
“But what isn’t romantic about people going to each other’s houses? And not in the “showing up on the doorstep in the rain with a boombox” type of way. I mean, the familiarity, the routine. I mean knowing where the extra toilet paper in the bathroom is, which burner on the stove doesn’t work, where to park when you get there, and where the extra blankets are for when you need to sleep over. To go to another person’s house, to be in their space continuously, is inherently romantic.” —

Clan [Moonstruck] is a community, a home of people who have found and love each other. They live and create and enjoy life together. Founded by Windbare and Umore, this clan is a branch of a much larger clan, which bears no name except for the name of their homeland, the Heartland. Windbare and Umore’s branch is one of many, and they and a few others come originally from the Heart. The rest of the community are dragons that met or travelled to their camp, looked around, and said “you are my home now.”
Clan [Moonstruck] isn’t famous or known well—if anything, they are tucked away in the Reedcleft’s riverbeds, blending into their surroundings as if they’ve always belonged there. It’s still possible to find them, of course, and neighboring clans and beastclans know them and can point anyone to Clan [Moonstruck]. They’re a quiet community that slowly pours out various goods and arts. They don’t have too much of a need for currency, hence the slow output, but the quality of their goods makes up for this fact tenfold, enough so that they can trade for what they lack at any moment. They prefer trading for goods and services rather than currency. They sell to visitors, but within the clan they either trade or, more often than not, gift and share.
