Smokewalker's knack for peering beyond the veil wasn't always apparent. His ethereal presence may have always been felt by fellow seers and mediums, but he was clueless about his destiny until he was ready to come of age. The ghostly apparitions of long-dead ancestors began visiting him, attempting to impart wisdom and guide the promising young dragon's footsteps for good. He began crossing over into the ether whenever he slept, living an entire second life among the previously deceased and watching over his clutchmates from afar as they went their separate ways. When he began feeling a little more confident in his skills he started to experiment with his abilities, testing the limits of what he could to and when until one day he stepped into what he thought was the ether and was greeted by something else entirely. A vision of what was to come. Flashes of ill tidings and great joy alike that he would struggle for weeks to decipher.

Smokewalker is...odd. That's the way many dragons choose to describe him. He's a strange fellow who communes with the dead as much as (if not maybe more than) the living, and often tries giving advice on situations that don't always merit his input. He is, of course, only trying to help, but he's not always the best about reading rooms and such. He struggles at times to connect with others because his visions and frequent traveling through the veil has left him with something of a stutter, and some of the more superstitious dragons tend to avoid him because they believe it to be a curse indicative of what happens when you mess with powers you cannot control.

Smokewalker's main job is to be an advisor for Starfinder. He helps guide her along through difficult decisions and aids her with leading the clan. He also acts as the elder seer, discerning the meaning behind omens and recieving visions of the fates of those around him. His third task, acting as a medium to help ancestors communicate with their still-living descendants is more of a self-imposed duty than anything, but one he takes no less seriously than the other two.
