Scrap is named after his talent for finding and collecting junk, or at least what others consider junk. He considers them treasures and finds something interesting in every item collected. He sometimes finds things he knows belong to others and he always returns those, he only keeps what is unclaimed. If someone comes to his lair and sees something of theirs he previously thought was unclaimed he eagerly hands it over.
His lair looks little more than a large junk pile, but it surrounds his sap home; its not in a tree as is traditional since most of his collection wouldn't keep in trees easily, but it is at the base of a tree and some of his collection does hang from the branches above. Plus the fact that he has tiny wings and isn't the best flyer he's had to learn how to climb very well.
He's quiet and a bit shy though, it's hard for him to make friends and he's sometimes very lonely. He does try though, often getting flustered, but he still tries. Luck finally smiled on him when the Spiral female Verjana joined the Clan. She came upon his mess of a lair one day and, much to his delight, curiously started asking about his collection of things! He, of course, happily talked about it all, telling her where and when he found certain items and much to his shock she never seemed bored. They have since become the best of friends and the memories of his days of loneliness are swiftly fading.
