Mother of War "We sow the seeds of War. They grow, within the hearts of beings. Those beings grow to have children, who they desire to protect. Those children, too, have the seeds within their hearts. They too, will fight to protect the ones whom they love." The dragon sighed softly, a young couple approached her. Guided by the aura of the incomplete moon, they'd found the Goddess at rest. Renowned for her delicate blessings, they'd come in the hopes of good fortune. This couple, she'd heard, had several nests before; however, each met terrible ends. The first, they explained to her, had been of one eggs; it has broken, due to an attack. The second, they claimed, was a nest of two. One of the eggs had rotted away. The other egg hatched, but the hatchling fell ill, and died within a week of it's birth. Further, the third nest was of a singular egg; one which was spirited away by thieves. The fourth nest... One egg, one hatchling. One Shade-touched, soon destroyed, youth. Now, they hoped, would come a fifth nest. One that would be successful. Their clan's numbers had been dwindling severely; they needed children there. Gazing upon the two Skydancers, Inanna sighed softly, setting down her pearl. Drawing a circle within the soft earth, she had the two place their paws within it. The circle emitted an odd, eerie glow, sacred words being uttered from Inanna's lips. The Rites of Fertility had been performed that day, the Skydancers now blessed. The next week, she heard, the pair had four young, beautiful hatchlings. Their best regards were given to the Goddess, as well as their thankfulness. Had it not been for her, they claimed, the Clan would have soon died out. Another soft sigh, and Inanna smiled upon the letter from the two. Perhaps this world was not that bad; she could definitely stay awhile longer...
