Biography

LEVANNEthe celestial chef

A Water dragon priestess is always flowing, constantly allowing the divine to shape her life, and Levanne was no different. She made daily offerings to the spirits of the temple where she served; fish that melted on the tongue, sauces silky in the mouth, and meats so flavorful and juicy they looked like they might burst. And every next day when she spotted the offerings gone, the bowl licked clean, she smiled and was content.

The sea spirits and minor gods she worshiped were not, however. They desired her cuisine at all times, and decided one day to spirit her up to their realm to walk among them, to serve them in person. Levanne, stunned, accepted the offer, preparing her foods among deities that, before now, she had only seen on murals and tapestries. She spent a great deal of time in their realm, and was lavished in return by those she served. They desired her creations, and they desired her. Relationships with the divine, physical or otherwise, can fundamentally alter a dragon. Soon, new eyes and limbs grew from Levanne’s body, markers of her life among energies and powers greater than herself.

However, the spirits are nothing if not fickle. They soon bored of the priestess; perhaps her mystique wore off as they realized she was becoming less like a mortal and more like themselves. No longer under their spell, Levanne and her strange new body fled back to the Sorneith mainland. Having lost all of her worldly possessions, she could only sustain herself as a traveling chef, making coin here and there by cooking for the wealthy dragons that could afford her skills. Eventually she met another, Sagitta, who was also well-versed in the culinary arts. Seeking a more stable lifestyle together, they arrived at Tycho's Peak and took on the roles of feeding the hungry scholars that lived in the fuchsia caverns.
