He is a very astute dragon who is an expert in anatomy and geology and was blinded in a freak accident in the lava pits. He no longer digs but he still identifies fossils by their feel and his magical sixth sense.

When he was in his prime he used that sixth sense to plan where the site would be at by the magical signatures he felt in the ground.

Now that he can't see he helps Zander with his archaeology for Zopha's potions because he cares and loves to help out. He also catches fish with the same technique he used to map out dig sites and now uses to navigate. He is teaching Zander this sense and is teaching him paleo and archaeology. Also a good fighter with a keen sense for battle and how to win and also uses his extra sense to 'see' the battlefield. Quick reflexes and strong instincts help tremendously as well.
