Badar —I Can Make The Rumors True—

Rather unintentionally, Badar has built a small cult around himself. They whisper that he's Shade-touched, that he holds power beyond comprehension, that he walks in-between worlds. Utter crock. But if the fools want to follow his commands, who is he to deny them? Badar uses their fear and worship for his own ends, mainly expanding his power and taking whatever he wants. He allows his followers to come up with whatever rumors they want about him so long as it's fits his malicious image. Badar certainly doesn't have any qualms about stories of death and destruction being attached to him. It works in his favor after all, and there might be a little truth in what they say. Of course, Badar will never outright confirm it. He's not that stupid. Sometimes it's rather fun hearing what they say too. Badar is frequently amused by the stories they come up with him. More than once, it has given him excellent ideas... • Badar dislikes participating in the rituals his followers create. He finds them annoying and pointless. Luckily, most of the time he doesn't have to. But, in order to keep his status, Badar has to join in some every so often. • He doesn't trust his followers but there are a few he gives more responsibility and confidence than others since they have proven themselves to be capable of attending his wishes. • Even before he had a cult, Badar was extensively involved in crime. A good part of his orders involves getting revenge on enemies he has made over the years. • Badar is a capable mage but most of his magic focuses on stuff that will increase his daunting image. He knows quite a lot of illusionary magic now. He has also started to dabble in some more necromantic work. • He is miserable at math. When others aren't looking, he'll count on his fingers. • While never fashionable, his manner of dress has become darker and stranger since the beginning of his cult. Nowadays, Badar feels exposed if he doesn't wear the shroud.
