Biography

Saeialia - The Venom Queen
"With practice, our greatest weaknesses can become our most glorious strengths.Don't run from your imperfections. Embrace them. Learn from them.
Make them your weapon."

Barebone ideas here, so she's a WIP.

"I do not see it as a weakness, and few other dragons will. But my family did. They saw, in me, a danger to be controlled.

"There was a short season in my life where even I was beginning to believe my venoms were a weakness despite their deadly power over the body. I found my venoms fascinating in my young age. I wanted to learn how they worked, why they worked, and how I could manipulate them.

"My parents almost ruined that. They always told me to keep my spines flat and unnoticeable, always told me to hide my venomous fangs behind my lips, and scolded me if I so much as touched another with my claws.

"Over time, the fascination I had with my venom faltered. I was beginning to hide evidence of them from the public eye of my own accord- I was beginning to become ashamed that I had hatched with such beautiful tools. I was becoming ashamed of myself when I hadn't even done any harm to warrant it!

"Obviously that later changed, but I tire of speaking. Come to me should you have need for medicines or healing and the like, if you trust one like my anyway. Not too many do, but I don't mind...

"Sometimes it's quite entertaining watching them squirm uncomfortably when I'm around. You should see how they yelp when I tap them with a claw! They act as if I don't have complete control of my venom, and I do. No dragon is ever envenomated by me unless I want them to be."

She hatched with a distinctly frail look despite the fact that, while thin, she was not unhealthy by any sense of the word. Her frame built itself out as she aged, though her muscle structure is not very strong when compered to others of her kind. It can be easy to overpower her physically, especially when against trained fighters. Fortunately she had been born gifted with some magical prowess, and thus was and is still able to hold her own when cornered

It was not until she aged, however, until her parents noticed something special about the weak little daughter. She had been gifted with venom in ways unlike they had ever seen before. She developed not just one, but three. Brutally fatal venom in the front fangs of her jaw, paralysis in the tips of her talons. The spines on her back carry one that is actually arguably harmless, but no less fearsome. This one, when injected, launches an unrelenting attack on the nerves of the victim, triggering a mind-rending pain that can make even the most battle-hardened dragons writhe and squirm.

Naturally this meant that friends of her age were a rarity for her. Parents of other hatchlings kept their progeny far away from her for fear that she may harm them, even if unintentionally. Already a bit of a recluse by nature, this did not wholly bother ____. She did occasionally have bouts of loneliness of course, but they were oft short and easily overcome. Instead of playing with others, she would follow the hunting parties as soon as she was old enough for her parents to allow her.

That was where her gift with venom truly blossomed. She experimented her various types of venom on small creatures too small to be considered worthwhile prey. Seeing what they did, how the amount injected affected the results, and if she could change their workings entirely. She had even saved the life of a clan mate when the group was caught off guard by a large creature. Her memory is foggy on exactly what it looked like, but she reacted instinctively.

Saeialia leaped upon the flank of the creature, piercing its hide with her claws and allowing their venom to seep into its body. It screeched and tried to turn and swipe, but the venom had already begun its work and the creature was already nearly hapless as it progressively made the beast more sluggish by the moment.

Just one more strike with her viciously curved fangs and the creature was dead before it ever hit the ground.

She is also, however, incredibly gifted with her venom in ways few other dragons could ever have managed. With a combination of her toxins, magic and herbs, she can transform her most fearsome and deadly venom into what some dragons brave enough to put themselves under her care have praised as a panacea.

Vials of her stored "pain venom" frequently go missing and are usually never found. Neither she nor other dragons know what or who is taking them, but _____ still refills and stores new vials as if they had never been taken. _____ is aware, but has made the deliberate choice not to stop it from happening. Whoever uses her venom has the potential to be ruthless and dangerous. Until she knows what, or who, is taking them and why, making any effort to stop storing venom runs the risk of the thief stealing her instead.

Someone has discovered her venom, someone ruthless. She does not know what, or who, and until she does she will not tempt that dragon's claw to steal her and use her rather than just the venom she produces.
