The Silent Protector
When he was born, it was clear to the older dragons around him that Cletus was different from the rest of the hatchlings. While they played games and spent many hours creating stories, the odd imperial would watch them from hiding spots. Although no other dragon realized it, what Cletus was doing was making mental notes on the weaknesses and strengths of his denmates. This information could be useful in the future, and he planned to let everybody know on what they could improve on.

But when he spoke to everyone in the community, his hard work was met with outrage. They all accused him of being a stalker and a creep, not even letting Cletus explain his goal. Instead of being praised like he hoped, they cast him out, demanding him never to return. Despite being banished, Cletus hung around in the shadows, keeping a close eye on all the inhabitants. He still cared about their well-being, and wanted to protect them in any way he could

Everything all went wrong though. When beastclan warriors attacked the village, Cletus found himself unable to save anybody, being knocked out and held captive as a prisoner. For many months he served the beastclans, bringing them food and following their every command. He would have still served under them now, if a young dunhoof hadn't shown him kindness and helped him escape.

Feeling heartbroken over the death of everybody he had ever known, Cletus travelled for a long time, assisting those in need and helping out however he could. Eventually the lone imperial came across a group of dragons who invited him to stay. Worn out, Cletus agreed and joined the group, becoming the defender and hoping to make up for all the lives that were lost in the attack from long ago.
