A wandering nomad who considers the sand dunes his true home, the old guardian aligned himself with The Lastsparks after they sheltered him during the catastrophic storms caused by Oculus and his stolen book of dark spells. Using what little power the hermit could muster, Raythe worked with the clan to defeat the rogue warlock and reclaim the magical items Oculus had stolen.

But despite their newly formed friendship, the guardian declined to move in on a full time basis with The Lastsparks, preferring his own company and a life without four walls. He does visit frequently though, having become particularly close with another desert dragon, Kashiri, and he remains on good terms with the clan's coven. Deciding he will retire to the lair when his arthritis gets too painful; for now he is content to sleep under the stars, the familiar warmth of the sand soothing his aching bones.
