Biography

Yerwyth loves fungi. The other dragons around her cannot understand what their clan-sister finds so fascinating about mushrooms, or moss, but she can always be seen scratching around rotten logs in the hope of finding a new species.
She has even tried grafting her favourite, pink fungus, onto her pearl, but with no success. Interestingly for her species, she doesn't feel such a deep attachment to this pearl, perhaps as a result of being transformed into a pearl catcher, rather than being one from birth. Her mother and father are the clan leaders.

Yerwyth is mostly a rather peaceful dragon. She enjoys a good chat and gossip with the others in her clan from time to time, but is more of a listener than contributer. This was why she was attracted to the slow, quiet Nesoi, a stocky snapper dragon- the first of his kind in their lair. From the moment she first saw him, she found herself wondering, what with his slow movements, whether he might be able to grow fungi along his broad back. She took to following him around. Eventually they became mates, finding that they both enjoyed and respected each others' company. Even though, Nesoi never quite agreed with Yerwyth's plan of planting a fungus-garden along the flat ridge of his tail (but she is still working on convincing him).

Perhaps understandably, her favourite familiars are the lizard-like parasitic fungi creatures, and usually, if you spot one of them, Yerwyth will not be far behind.
