Biography

TLALLI
the impassive gardener

Tlalli was born in the wastelands of the Lightning Flight, under the watchful eye of the Tempest Spire and the Stormcatcher, her original deity. But now the only remnants of this place in her life are the marks of circuitry on her skin, which she hates with a passion. Because in a world of gears and reactors, where the only greenery was brittle and barely clinging to life, Tlalli fell in love with flora.

When she came of age and was strong enough to leave her clan and decide her own fate, the obvious place for her to go would have been the Nature Flight. But when she was a hatchling, Tlalli's mother took her to the Starwood Strand to trade some tools for scientific scrolls, and Tlalli's heart had stayed there ever since. The pulsing blue flowers were hypnotizing and fascinating, and the young Skydancer only wished to learn more. It took a lot of convincing from Valencia to get her to join Tycho's Peak, which is a moderate distance away from the trees, but Tlalli is sure to visit, meditate, and study there whenever she can.

Spiritual and distant, Tlalli is more at home among flora than fauna. She is by no means a social butterfly, and quickly retreats within herself should the situation become too much for her to bear. She makes an effort to avoid some of the more extroverted, bubbly members of the Clan, excluding Omu, her Spiral companion who lives in the stream that feeds her enchanted plants. Being born of Lightning gives her a superior work ethic as well, and she is eternally dedicated to her study of uncommon plants and herbs.

Aside from her visits to the Starwood Strand, Tlalli tends to her her strategically-built garden outside the Clan's main cave. She waters, weeds, and harvests the strange, sometimes deadly plants with the help of her Nature Sprite, Kyvra, who was a gift from her brother when she departed from her birth clan. She is a renowned biologist and herbalist among the Starfall Isles, and publishes many works involving these plants and the Strand. Tlalli also provides many (moderately) safe plants for Clan consumption, and works closely with Mortem to provide him with herbal remedies to use in his healing.

Since she moved to Tycho's Peak, Tlalli has learned much about how to incorporate the innate magic of the land into her gardening. What started out as a small patch of land has become so immense and lush that it was moved to the base of the mountain, where Tlalli lives in a hut surrounded by her garden. She utilizes Arcane magic to grow her plants and create fascinating, oftentimes dangerous hybrids of everyday greenery. The circuitry on her scales that she so despised has slowly vanished, replaced by the roots and branches of an enchanted tree that lives and grows as she does. 		21552.png
